may know your strengths

it is from your
difficulties that you
may know your
strengths.

you did not
create
yourself. you did not choose
your parents, nor
did you design the
home that
nurtured
you.

The Creator who brought you to this world,
He knew you before you before conception
and He made you a leech-like clot in the
womb.
He knew intimately --all the difficulties
you would meet,
your faults,
your struggles.

and so we say alhamdulillahi-rabbil-alameen

Walk carefully insha'Allah -- today is tomorrow's history!

Growing lazy?

When a believer is unable to satisfy his desires he grows lazy.

The opposite is also true!

Al-Khabeer, what's the dark matter?

Are You just
hypothetical matter
that does not
interact
with the electromagnetic
force,

but whose presence
can be inferred
from gravitational
effects
on visible matter?

Fasting produces satisfaction.

If a you feel emotionally upset, be still until this mood has left. Do not allow it to pass your lips.

If that feeling should continue to be top-of-mind, speak only with a believer who can empathize and provide encouragement and strength.

everywhere

Why do we assume that the body is any further from Allah (swt) than the nafs?

Does Allah (swt) exist only in some spiritual space outside this dunya?

Al-Wasse'e is everywhere.

Fire & Ice

Fire is dangerously consuming -- but nothing is as dangerous as ice.

If a fire burns inside you, let it burn and turn the fire towards Ar-Rasheed. But if your deen is of cold, lifeless path, you must stop. Turn around, and warm yourself with the fiery coals of Al Quran.

insight

In Al-Masjid al-Haram a believer gains insight into the providence of Allah (swt) over the world.

Notoriety

Being truthful earns for the believer everlasting notoriety.

Love

Love produces encouragement.

Faithfilled stumble

When a believer does something with Iman, and in the course of doing so trips up, he should trust that Allah (swt) will set him back on the right course. Al-Khaafid merely arranged this obstacle for him so that he should pave the way for other believers to be saved from this stumbling block.

Ready, insha'Allah?

Yawm al-Din requires preparation and readiness.

The most profound darkness comes just before the first thread of dawn.

A deep sleep of suppresses the spirit of the believer. Insha'Allah, we are sparks of light in this dunya, the first rays of a sun that never shone before -- but the darkness of night overwhelms all.

Let's get ready for fajr!

illusions

If you live your life according to what makes sense in illusions of this dunya, you will never be sure of anything. As good as your mind might be at finding solutions and answers, it is even better at finding questions and doubts.

Submitting to Allah (swt) is to learn and to allow the nafs within you to align with those truths you learn, until your mind and heart and actions are guided by a voice that is truth with no illusions.

Ancient Minaret

The wind is in the minaret this morning
Whispering Ibrahimic notes to restless hearts,
Calling across the lost times' flight,
With a swan song, from creations depth.
Carrying the soft voice of sadness,
That has ever called man since the first
Wind stirred the dust that shaped him to fulness
Then caressed his face with Hawwa's gentle hand
And took the fruit from a tree bearing knowledge:
Thus ever it whispers its sweet voice
Of hopes and prayers for a Jannah eternal.
This morning I follow the way of a created wind.
